Mink Lashes Suppliers
Our 3D Mink Lashes range consists of thick and fluttery lashes, all of which are hand made, super soft and luxurious. Due to being such high quality, they are reusable 35-40 times, however this is only possible with the proper care. To be able to properly care for your lashes, you’ll need to be able to know how to apply them and remove them properly to ensure the quality isn’t compromised. We have years of experience in the makeup and beauty industry, and just as much experience in applying lashes. If you need some help you to better understand how to apply your 3D Mink Lashes, we can help!
Step One – Trim Lashes to Fit Your Eyelid
All of us girls are born with different eye shapes, and this means that not every pair of lashes will be the right fit for your eyes when they come straight out of the box. Some of us have bigger eyes which means no trimming necessary, but for those girls with smaller eyes, you’ll need to give your lashes a little trim to make sure you don’t have any excess lash band hanging off the end of your eye (trust us, it isn’t a good look and can take away from the show-stopping eye makeup look you’re trying to create!)
All you need to do is hold the lashes to your lid, measure the strip against your actual eyelid and trim off the excess (not whilst you’re holding the lashes against your eye!) and voila, you’ll have a perfect set of lashes that fits your eyelids.Top tip: practice with a cheaper set first if you’re nervous about sniping away at your silky set of mink lashes!Worried about wasting the cut-off excess? Worry no more! You can actually use any of the excess band later on. Apply at the outer corners of your eye for extra drama or cut up into smaller bits and apply like individual lashes to add some emphasis to the top of your natural outer lashes.
Step Two – Apply Lash Glue Strategically
We know how tempting it is to just get those 3D Mink Lashes on your lids so you can head out the door looking glamorous and ready to slay. Often, people will just slather some glue on the band and stick them straight on to the lids. However, this step requires a little more finesse…
Once you’ve applied a thin layer of adhesive to the band (go easy on that glue girl, no one wants clumpy glue sticking to their 3D Mink Lashes!) let it sit for about 30 seconds before applying. The glue should not be wet, but just tacky and sticky. Tap your finger gently on the band to make sure the glue has slightly dried to a sticky consistency. To make sure the glue is properly distributed across the band, bend the lash band to make the ends of the band meet. This ensures the glue is applied to the ends of the lashes and will help them to stick better and stop them from lifting throughout the day.
Our 3D Mink Lashes do not come with adhesive, however, this means you can use your favourite glue to stick your mink lashes to your lids. We know how it is when you find that glue that works perfectly so you can carry on using it with our mink lashes.
Step Three – Look Downwards into Your Mirror
Okay, this is the tricky part and often the most dreaded, even by beauty gurus! You need to get the lash band as close to the lash line as possible without it getting tangled up in our actual lashes. It’s common for people to try and look straight ahead into their mirrors to apply lashes. However, this is actually not the best way to do it as you’ll more than likely end up poking yourself in the eye as you tilt your head back at awkward and uncomfortable angles.
Instead, place a mirror underneath your face and look down into it. This way your eyelid will extend, almost like you’re closing your eyes, and will give you more space to apply your 3D Mink Lashes. It’ll also give you a better view of your eye so you can apply your 3D Mink Lashes nice and neatly. Make sure you don’t close your eyes when applying the lashes as this can alter your eye shape.Top tip: if your hands are a little shaky or you’re struggling to get snug to the lash line, use some tweezers to apply your 3D Mink Lashes.
Step Four – Camouflage the Band
This is the finishing touch once you’ve applied your 3D Mink Lashes. Apply a fleeky swoop of eyeliner across the lashline to disguise the band and really make those lashes pop. We commend using an angled makeup brush to apply a gel eyeliner as this will create a smooth effect and cover up the lash band better.
Step Five – Admire Your Fluttery Lashes!
You’ve done it! Your lashes are on, your eye makeup is popping and your eyeliner flick is sharp. Make sure you snap lots of shots for your insta and don’t forget to flutter those eyelids!
